Hi,

I am running SC with my AMP Futures account. I have a second instance running, so two in total, and it seems both cannot connect to amp at same time. One drops, and the other reconnects, and then this keeps happening as one disconnects while the other reconnects.

CQG only allows one connection to the CQG system per CQG username at a time.

The solution to this is to use the DTC Server in Sierra Chart:

Hi,

I've followed the instructions here but it's not working for me. I am still getting connection errors and issue with data between the instances. I used the ip of my vpn, is that what I'm supposed to do in step 15?

Hi, I've tried everything with this, using my machine ip and my vpn ip, with the instance global setting, data/ server settings/ enable dtc protocol checked and unchecked. It seems I can get data, but there is problem with the historical, there is a break in the price as seen in image...

Hi, I have data flowing now in the second instance, both instances are connected now. However I am using the ip 127.0.0.1. rather than the ip for my machine. Yesterday's data is missing in the charts of the second instance however and solution in instructions now working.

The data in the server instance is fine, only the data in the client instance is missing data.

Are the two instances of Sierra Chart running on the same computer? If so, use File >> New Instance instead as documented here:
Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance

For missing data, refer to:
