It appears that the study wont display a spreadsheet cell value that contains a text string.
SC support could you modify the study code so that it will have this ability?

Current cell code is
=IF(P3=1,"Limit","Market")

I need to display the resulting cell value in the chart.
Currently the study will only display "0.00"

Yes, the study's name is a misnomer. Value Display for Study would be more accurate.

Here are two workarounds:

1)
-Put the formula in row 2 of the column that the Text Display for Study references.
-In the Text Display for Study settings, set 'Display Subgraph Name' to Yes, and set the 'Value Format' to 1.
(You'll get a :0 after the text.)

2)
-Don't use the Text Display for Study study.
-Put the formula in row 2 of any spare Formula Column.
-In row 3 of the same column, use a formula that returns a price, e.g. =E3.
-In the spreadsheet study settings, set the Draw Style of that subgraph/column to Text, check 'Name Label', and choose a Horizontal Align.

Thanks tomgilb for the work around ideas.

Workaround 1)
Workaround works, but as you said..Got that freaking "0" after the text.

Workaround 2)
Workaround works, but text moves with price and cant place the text in the location on the chart I need it to be.

So I guess I`m stuck with workaround 1, unless SC decides to upgrade both Text display studies.

You also taught me that a formula can be used in row 2 of a column.
