Hi,

Came across this idea to create drawing layers like in Photoshop. Would be great to allow users to be able to toggle drawings 'groups' on or off. The groups would be defined by the users, for example I would have a layer for channels, a layer for horizontal support/resistance, a layer for text, etc.

More information on this TradingView support post (where they've decided to add it in):

https://getsatisfaction.com/tradingview/topics/drawing_layers?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=new_reply&utm_content=reply_button&reply[id]=19430087#reply_19430087

Another valueable addition from the TradingView/MT4 products would be 'Drawing Visibility' options. So for example, in Tradingview I am able to create drawing templates (like Sierra TC's) for lines, etc. that will save line type/colour/extended, etc. but templates also allow you to decide what *timeframes* that line is displayed on. This timeframe option is great for reducing drawing clutter on higher timeframes. I understand that you can use multiple charts with different 'copy drawings from chart' options within Sierra to achieve something similar already, so i'm just throwing this out there. I think there are pro's and con's to Sierra's 'Copy Drawing from' and Tradingview's 'Drawing Visibility' methods. Happy to discuss further if you like

Not sure how these two ideas - drawing layers and drawing visibility would work together yet, I understand that there are complex relationships here. Just throwing it out there with the hope that such functionality will be added to the long todo list!

Thanks
S
