hi, i got connected yesterday but i cannot place any orders
it states insufficient margin although my account has funds
am i doing anything wrong or should i contact my FCM?

You need to contact your FCM about this. The particular error message you are seeing in the Trade >> Trade Service Log originates from the trading service.
