Hello!

I have a "trading system" that uses multiple studies that include the "color bar" study. I was wondering if there was a way to compile all of these studies into a single study. There a "Custom Studies" that do this and I was wondering how I could do it. I am not a developer, but I think with a little help I could get it done.

Here is an example; this custom study named "Velocity" contains multiple studies within it, including Donchian Channel and Color Bar. I have attached an image of this study.

I appreciate the time and effort in your response ahead of time,
Thanks

So you can't even point me in the right direction? Or tell me how the others did it? Obviously the platform is capable, I am not sure why you can't help me even a little bit.

From our perspective we cannot know what that other study is doing internally.

The most we can help is to refer you to the intermediate study calculation functions:
Working with Intermediate Study Calculation Functions

But we assumed you are already familiar with those functions anyway.

You are not going to be able to do what the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study is doing assuming you are using that. Although that capability might actually be possible in a couple of days once we give ACSIL the ability access the result of an alert/spreadsheet formula.

Really after reading your question again, if you have to ask this question, then you really are asking for a lot of programming help which is just not within the scope of our support. If our answer above is helpful, then good. If not, then this is the basis of why we avoided this to begin with.

Actually we take this back and this is really a dumb answer. Of course you can do all of this within a custom study. It is totally straightforward. Just implement in ACSIL what the alert formula is doing.

The original answer was given from the perspective that you just cannot take the formula as is and evaluate it internally in ACSIL.

Another thing that might be helpful but not totally sure based on the original question is we are going to release in the next couple of days, a Trading System Based on Alert Condition study which can buy or sell based on the alert formula becoming true.

And would rely on Attached Orders for exits.
