Hi,

I'm in Europe, I measured a 85 ms latency to bitmextrade.sierracharts.com , which is hosted in the US, but I have a 11 ms pinging directly the Bitmex API server (www.bitmex.com).

After some investigation, is seems they are hosted on AWS Ireland (https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/5oavle/bitmex_bot_api_server_location/ )

Would it be possible to move the Sierra server on your UK infrastructure so that the european traders don't undergo the double cross of the atlantic link ?

Thanks

We can set up a European order routing server. That is not a problem but once you use one or the other you have to stay with it when using server side managed orders.

We will have this out in one or two more days. There is a new Service specific setting for BitMEX in the latest release to use the EU server.

This is now done. Update to the latest prerelease and select Server 2 in the Service Settings for BitMEX [Trading].

I'm running an instance on SC on a low latency AWS server( using Dubin AWS, the same as what Bitmex uses)

If for example, I am setting a buy stop-limit order, is that going to be held on the SC server?

No, order routing to BitMex is now always direct to BitMex.

So how does it work with for example with Server Managed OCO or bracket orders, which are not natively supported by Bitmex?

Does this still apply? "In the case of the following supported Trading services: BitMEX, FXCM, LMAX, and the Low Cost CTS model, these Trading services use an intermediary server managed by Sierra Chart for order routing"

That documentation is older and has been removed just now. It was updated earlier today.

How does what work?

Ok.

How is a server Managed OCO order handled if it's not supported by Bitmex and not held on an SC server? Are orders just held within my SC platform, eg clientside?

This is explained in detail beginning with this section and the following subsections:
Attached Orders: General Management of Attached Orders

We will not restate what the documentation says.

And also in the latest version of Sierra Chart, it does use BitMex server-side OCO and bracket orders. But they can function improperly and you have to accept whatever issues there are.
