Hello,

As some of you may know, we are working on offering a real-time and historical data feed with CME data. Initially this will be offered to customers with futures trading accounts. Later this feature will be made to users without trading accounts and also include other exchanges ( ICE, EUREX, stocks).

A prerequisite to use this data feed, is that we have an accurate name and address for you for records that need to be kept for the exchange.

In the past we have never really enforced this requirement even with credit/debit card payments.

Therefore, if you intend to use this new data feed, please take a moment to make sure your account information is accurate:
https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=ManageAccountInfo

We are strong believers in privacy and freedom and do not like tell people what needs to be done. Although this is something that is required by the CME exchange and we will have to manually confirm that the information looks valid to us before we allow a particular account to receive this data feed.

The reason for this notice is, is we that we see plenty of accounts with nonsense names and addresses and just simply gibberish. This is fine in other cases, but not for this data feed. If there is anyone you can trust with your basic information, that would be us. This information is not disclosed, unless it is required, as in this case to an exchange or to a credit/debit card processor.

Some basic information about this data feed:

-Price will be 35 USD month for the first connection. 20 USD month for additional connections. Up to three connections are possible.

-Tick by tick data feed.
-Full market depth data.
-Tick by tick historical data.
-Low latency. Servers co-located in same data center as CME.
-Direct CME FIX data feed integration at our backend.
-High-performance hardware using SSD drives.
-Seamless integration with the trading service you are using. There is no need to run a second copy of Sierra Chart or enter any additional symbols or use any additional settings.

For example if you are using Interactive Brokers, you have enabled this data feed on your Sierra Chart account, you are connected to your live Interactive Brokers account, and you have a chart open for ES-201312-GLOBEX, you will be receiving this data feed straight into the chart. Nothing special to do.

We continue to appreciate, that you keep your questions to an absolute minimum on the support board so we can get this project completed and out as soon as possible. The more time we spend on the support board, the more time it takes away from this project. Low priority questions or feature requests, are being deferred sometimes until the next day to be responded to because we need to allocate maximum time to this project and other tasks that are long overdue.

SC Team - One question related to this area.

In order to run 2 copies of SC on a single computer, do we need to subscribe for 2 connections or one connection is good enough?

I mean - in the case of esignal, it can be used with any number of "clients" as long all connections are coming from the same computer. Wondering if the model being developed would be something similar to that or one would need to get the number of datafeed connections based on the number of instances of SC running on a single computer?

Thanks

You can use the data sharing method to share data between copies of Sierra Chart on the same system.

If you want both of these copies of Sierra Chart connected to the new CME data feed at the same time, you will have to pay for two connections. There is no way around that.

Sorry if this is not the right thread to ask, but are you going to offer exchange traded calendar spreads, or even inter-market spreads?

Will this enhance in anyway the historical feed in SC...

i.e. continuous futures contracts?

I'm on CTS now...wondering in what ways this will improve my feed..

Speed of course is a bonus and I am in Chicago so server proximity is a plus..
Also, I assume there will be less users on your servers which may be of benefit at high volume hours...

We will be offering a CME historical intraday tick by tick data service for probably 20 a month. This will be accurate complete tick by tick data.

We do plan to greatly improve upon Continuous Futures Contracts feature before the end of this year.

The servers we have are extremely fast and there will not be a large number of users on them. So we do not anticipate even in the slightest of delay due to load.

I am currently using the data provided by Transact (Infinity Futures). I currently subscribe to package 5 with them. I was considering getting DTN/IQ. I have a few questions please. I know you asked to limit questions, however I need to know this so I
can consider waiting for Sierra.

1. They offer 500 market stats/breadth indicators (TICK, TRIN, etc), most of which update every 1 second! Will your feed have indicators?
2. They automatically adjust for rollover, will you? I know you have to be burnt out
on dealing with rollover questions.
3. They offer 120 days days of tick (includes pre-post market) and several years of 1-Minute history. Will you? I need this for Volume Profile charts.

Thanks in advace

1. Currently we offer four different market statistics:

Additional ones will be added later on. Let us know what you are specifically looking for that we do not already include.

2. If you are referring to back adjusting historical data for continuous futures contract charts, this feature will be available before the end of the year.

3. There will be years worth of tick by tick data. And from this tick by tick data, any timeframe can be generated.

i don't know if you would consider $VIX a market statistic.. but that would be really great if that could be added to the list of others, i currently track this through another platform and is the only thing i use that sierra doesn't currently offer

Yes this will be added. But it will come with a price. It will be probably about $35 a month data fee plus an exchange fee. Plus you will need to have a direct paid Sierra Chart account. No exceptions to that.

If you are already subscribed to the upcoming CME data feed for 35 a month, then you do not have to pay another data fee.

Are the subscriptions for the new data feed already available? If so, where?

Not yet. We are definitely getting close. Most likely we are still about 10 to 15 days away.
