With new version, orders were not getting filled or able to be cancelled! Could not tell which orders were active. Flatten button, cancel all or clicking on screen would not cancel orders. I was unable to move orders on screen. Had to call trading desk to get me out of positions. Trying to duplicate in SIM mode but works fine. Is problem with CTS low cost service and Sierra? Very upset that profits turned into losses.

OK, it may not be Sierra's or connection fault. It may be a margin issue. Apparently, the child orders carry their own margin requirement (which is ridiculous because they are offsetting bracket orders). Firm is investigating.

We are going to do some testing now to see if we notice any problem like this with CTS.

This is not related to CTS. Apparently it is a problem on the prerelease.

In some cases we are seeing a message like this when modifying an order:
HistoricalDataServiceClient | Caught an unhandled exception in AsyncWindowProc. Message: 1025, wParam: 0, lParam: 0. |

This can lead to subsequent problems.

Update to the current version with Help >> Download Current Version.

i believe im having same problem.. i entered an order on sim before trading today(first time in a long time using sierra chart/ibkr). it works how id expect.

so i get in a real trade when one comes.. i realize i dont see my positon but i see the exit points on the dom ladder. i see no profit loss on the dom either.. i check TWS and i am infact in a position.. so i try to figure out the PNL, settings seem to be correct.. hmm.. well trade is looking stale and possibly reversing and i dont like the fact i cant see my position.. so i "flatten" and here the order canceled etc..

i double check TWS and im still in the position.. so i switch over there and close out the position..

i double check simulation mode and its working how i would expect..

really frustrating when your playing with real money for something to not work correctly..

No, #5 is totally unrelated.

This is just a typical Interactive Brokers issue which you describe. Refer to:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Trade Position Line or Quantity Disappearing or Displaying Zero

This is a never-ending problem with Interactive Brokers.

Be sure to read through the entire section linked to: TradePositionLineQuantityDisappearingDisplayingZero

I downloaded and installed current version as directed and then saw you just released 1676 a few minutes ago. I just installed 1676. Is this OK to use or should I go back and reinstall current version?

Yes it should be. We are not 100% certain of the underlying reason for the problem without more research, but it is not occurring on 1676. We think the problem just had to do with a log message that was not handling a text string properly.

Also in regards to the particular trading issue you encountered, you always have access to the CTS web trader to view your current Positions and enter, modify and cancel orders:
https://cts.t4login.com/livetrader/login.aspx

You always have the ability to take any prompt action if for some reason you do not have access to Sierra Chart or you were to run into some kind of unexpected issue.

Is the CTS Web Trader available with the low cost CTS option I have without extra charge? Can I keep the web app open while Sierra is running? I tried running the web app with Sierra on and off and it would not let me connect. Could you please email me all three fields I should enter in case I am entering them incorrectly, please?

There should not be any extra charge for the web trader but any trades made will have the higher per contract fee.

We see no problem with having the CTS web trader open at the same time as Sierra Chart.

For help with the web trader could you contact CTS:
support@ctsfutures.com

The three fields you need to set, your clearing firm will know what those are.

As I understand it, my broker spoke with a person at CTS and was told I would have to pay CTS another monthly data charge to have the CTS web trader. Can you speak with your contact at CTS and see if this can be waived since I am already paying Sierra?

We have contacted CTS about this. Users really should have access to that webpage of theirs for order entry. They should not be restricting it.

This is what we heard from CTS:
Firms can remove access to specific applications for individual users, so that user may not be able to login to webtrader.

What are they saying you have to pay if they give you access? There should only be a charge, if any, for the month which you use it. But if you do not even have the CTS market data feed active, does not make much sense why there would be any charge to begin with.
