Hi

do you have a video tutorial? I can't seem to transfer all settings including my customized buttons to new computer.

Another frustration is that I am not able to uninstall the sierra chart. how do I redo everything?

For the first question, refer to these instructions here:

Here are the instructions to uninstall:
Software Download: Uninstalling

Users are so accustomed to such complex software installations which require an installer. Being that Sierra Chart is so incredibly simple to uninstall just by deleting it, that apparently it is hard to figure out for some.

Edit: out of frustration, after installing SC again on new computer, I run it once and then exit. Next, I went back to my old computer to copy the WHOLE sierra chart file and replace the current one on new computer. Finally, I have successfully copied everything over! Only caveat is the font issue moving from UHD to HD screen. I just go to global setting and change all fonts to default size and all is good as new. Even the settings for brokers data were nicely transferred.

Hope this helps others as well.

Can I confirm it is even possible to transfer customized buttons (my control bars 2) to new computer?

Where is this file residing so that I can copy it to the new computer?

Because I have do as SC suggested for 5 times and the customized control bars (w) were no where to be found. I cringe at the time wasted to create new buttons/setup, and also doing as instructed over and over but getting same results.

Yes of course. Just follow through the instructions here:

Control Bar buttons are stored in the Sierra3.CFG file.

If you are using any custom icons for the Control Bar buttons also be sure to copy the \Graphics\Buttons folder from your source installation to the destination installation.
