Hi--I would like to be able to just copy the values(without references/formulas)--then paste these values to sheet2 and do a sort---all of the commands are there---"copy value" and "sort" but the references are pasted making the sort obsolete.

Thoughts appreciated,

Cy

We do not see any problems when we select Spreadsheet >> Copy Value and paste the values aand other cells with Spreadsheet >> Paste. Only the values are pasted. This is clear.

Describe the exact step-by-step procedure you are following. Just make this as simple as possible involving 2 cells.

We do not see the relevancy of the sort. Just the values are copied and not the formulas.

I select the data---copy---paste to an added sheet---then I sort it---the data disappears or the sort does not start from the highest selected cell in the column--there are blank cells in my data just for the record

Make sure you use Spreadsheet >> Copy Value to copy the values.

We have done a sort and we see no trouble with this whatsoever.

Try copying and sorting just a few values like 5. That is how we are doing the test. See if you have any trouble with that.
