Hi - this chart has a Volume by Price study but that study will not display for some reason. When I start fresh from a new chart (adding the TPO and then VBP studies), it shows up just fine. This tell me there might be a setting altered in the Studies Settings for the TPO that is causing the VBP study to disappear. Any idea what would cause that?

Have you tried removing the Volume by Price study from the chart and adding it again? If you still need help we will need to get your Chartbook to look at it. Follow these steps:

The Chartbook should contain only a single chart showing the problem.

Here’s chartbook1 and a second I created called chartbook2. On CB1 the profile functions fine but there is no Vol by price. I re-created the chart using my settings and in CB2 I can view both the TPO profile as well as Vol profile, however, my prints on this chart are not correct. There are yellow prints which I have labeled as 11th period-18th period or starting at K period for letters. My point is that the chart is showing yellow prints inside the V.A. when that should all be grey for the fill in of the V.A.

You had set the TPO Profile Chart Study Scale Range to Independent.

On the other Chartbook did you set the TPO Profile Chart study input to highlight the value area?

From my customer: The scale range was not set to “independent” I did however change the tick scale from the default of 2 to 1 as to show a print at every price point. For the second question I did have it set so that the value area was highlighted.

I’m thinking either it has something to do with the color settings from 1-18 in that I only have two color selected. Again I am using a number format so that each 30-min period is labeled by a number 1,2,3…n and that from 1-0 it is all red, then when 1 comes around again it shifts to another color. I wonder if this has something to do with it Especially concerning the overnight time frame whereas the pit session is broken in 13 sections, the night session goes a whole lot higher than a total of 18 periods. I am going to try to associate a distinct color with each number and see what happens.

But to answer your questions I’m still stuck

There is no doubt, the scale for the TPO Profile Chart study was set the Independent. That is quite clear. Anyone can look at the Chartbook provided and verify it.
