I just ran a backtest and I'm not able to review the results in the trade activity log. I can see the simulated fills on the chart. I'm going to the trade activity log, choosing [SIM]ESZ7 for the symbol, clicking the trade statistics tab and it's not working. Is there a setting I'm missing? I've attached a screenshot of the trade activity log. Thanks.

Make sure the Symbol and Trade Account and From date all correct at the top of the Trade Activity Log.

You will know best what those actually are.

They are all correct. I ran it today. I have the right symbol. I even tried with '[sim]all symbols'. Still didn't work. When I choose a sim symbol it only lets me choose the account named Sim1. It does not let me choose another account. Like I said the fills are showing up on the chart so it must be some sort of setting.

This is important for me to get working so what else can I try? Do you want the chartbook?

Does it have something to do with the 'All Internal Order IDs' section? I saw a video online where there was an option to choose backtest results there but it doesn't appear to be the case now.

I figured it out. I was putting the date as today since I did the backtest today but I needed to put the dates from the start of the backtest. Disregard. Thanks.

I'm having a lot of issues running my first backtest using an an existing study created by Sierra Chart. It might have to do with a symbol? Changed the dates, disconnected, changed the trade settings, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated. Screenshots.

( Images removed because they are not of the acceptable type. They need to be actual direct captures from a computer.)

Checked the General Trade settings, and since this is intraday, shortened it to 50 days to make sure.

I'm thinking it has to do with the symbol, it doesn't have that [Sim] label, but not sure how to get that.

What exactly do you mean by this? We need to start only with this first question. Do not provide any screenshots.

No trade results as shown by the screenshot. The other screenshots show what settings I have done.

1. Arrows are on the chart for the MACD trading system
2. General Settings for save trade results are saved to 1000
3. View results from date is set to July 2017
4. Trade Simulation mode is on
5. Auto Trading Global is on
6. Auto Trading Enabled Chart is on

The only idea I have is that there is no [Sim] next to any symbol in the trade as shown by the screenshots, but I'm not sure how to get one set to it.

Also, I saw one forum question say it wasn't possible to run a backtest on multiple symbols, but then saw some instructions in the manual where it said it was possible. A clarifcation would be great, but any backtests would be a win, then I can write some code to coble them together if necessary.

In general, refer to:
Automated Trading Management: Troubleshooting Automated Trading System Behavior

For us to give you some guidance, we need to know the specific name of the trading system study you are using. Unless it is one you have created.

If you are referring to the MACD Crossover System study, that is not an actual trading system study.
