1. There were serious trading issues in the past using CQG on Sierracharts and you strongly advised here NOT to use them, per your post below. Recently you have been recommending CQG again, can you confirm all trading issues are 100% resolved, and all aspects of CQG as a trading service work reliably with Sierrachart?

2. Are there any trading issues at all with CTS on Sierrachart, and does the CTS Webtrader login work for getting data into Sierrachart, if not executing?

3. How do CQG and CTS compare for reliability and trade execution on Sierrachart? How many active Sierrachart traders do you have on each, and which service has less issues?

1. That is an old post relating to a user performing automated trading when using CQG. If you are not doing high-frequency trading, it really is meaningless. Just ignore it. You will not have problems with CQG.

2. No. For market data from CTS, you will be using the CTS FIX connection.

3. Both of them are fine. We have more users on CQG because overall the cost is less. We do not know the numbers of each. It is not something that we monitor. For CTS we recommend using the new connection model:

So your advice is still valid if you're HFT ?

If you are doing frequent order submissions and modifications with CQG, which may or may not be classified as high-frequency trading, then CQG still would be OK, but it is going to require adjustments on the account to not block the orders. Your CQG broker should be able to accomplish that.

However, you may also want to look at using CTS instead.

That case was not automated or HFT or modifying orders, it was just trading multiple contracts with simple attached orders. At the time you made changes to address some of the issues, have they all been fixed? Is CQG through Sierrachart compatible with trading multiple contracts without issues?

We apologize, we did not look through that entire referred to thread, we are very busy. We do remember our response, and thought it was related to automated trading. But in any case, it was related to submitting or modifying many orders over a short period of time and exceeding the CQG limit.

And thinking about this some more, we do not remember anyone bringing this up lately. Probably because we did raise the issue to CQG at the time and they probably did make an adjustment on their side.

There are no known outstanding issues with trading integration to CQG.

Yes to our knowledge, but you could encounter the same CQG order reject ( Order Action rate exceeded) but that is something that your broker can make an adjustment for if you run into it. There is no way that we can answer this question definitively. We have no ability to even test for it since the behavior of the CQG demo system is different than the live system.
