We got this from CQG and this cost will have to be passed on to users:

Additionally, as of December 1, 2017, CQG will bill SierraChart $500.00 per month for use of the Order Routing services, which covers use of the SierraChart private label for Order Routing across all FCMs.

The per user cost would likely just be about 1 USD additional month.

So I reached out to AMP (my broker) and asked how this would be charged given I have SC through my AMP relationship.

This is their reply:

AMP does not fall under "across all FCMs"
it should say..."across all FCMs...except AMP" :)

No pricing change on our side. This will be no effect to AMP customers

You can post this reply if you see fit

thanks

Dan

Hi Support,
Just to clarify, will this additional cost be charged by SierraChart, which means we need to deposit fund in SierraChart account?
or it will be charged by broker?

By Sierra Chart. Most likely we will just slightly increase the pricing for all users. Something small like .25 or $.50/month.

1. So will the "500$ per month billed to the Sierra Chart company" be spread over the whole community having vanilla SC (SC bougth directly from Sierra Chart company)?

2. What does "use of the Order Routing services" mean? As far as I know Sierra Chart offers no order routing on its own. Or did I miss anything? I have the order routing (CQG) via my broker and I pay for the vanilla SC to Sierra Chart company. Will this be recognized or linked on the CQG side?

Thanks

1. We are still deciding on this.

2. CQG is charging us, for our users use of CQG. This is what we need to pass this cost on.

Tentatively, we are not going to take any action on this until January 2018.

Who cares? Its $1 or $10
Why are you in this game if $1 causes debate.
