Hi, I'm trying to personalize my Audio Alerts. I recorded my voice with the commands as a .wav file and dropped these files in the SC AlertSounds folder (attached). Then I try to configure the audio settings by selecting the file. However, when I click 'Test Sound' I get a default sound and not the audio I recorded. When I test the recorded audio that I recorded in my personal media player I can hear the recording but for some reason the SC does not pick it up. Any ideas please?

For reasons which we do not know, your own custom sound files are not compatible. We cannot provide any further help with this.

Is it possible they aren't really .wav files but you just named them that? Are .wav files the default for your recording program?

Just a thought....Scott

This was the problem in my case.
My own custom made text to speach WAV files would play as the default sound untill I re-encoded them with VLCplayer.

Check your WAV files.
