Backfill SC Data Services while not connected to broker

From memory, not too long ago you made it so it was possible to backfill from SC Data Services without needing to be connected to the broker. In version 1605, this has stopped working reliably for me. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not and requires me to start the TWS before it will do a backfill. I've hit the "Send For Analysis" button on my log window.

We need to test this.

The problem might be related to Sierra Chart trying to connect to the data feed. Restart Sierra Chart, open the Chartbooks and then select File >> Disconnect.

It could be. From memory, there was notes about trying to connect to IB. As mentioned above, I sent you the logs. I also did try to disconnect several times and after a short pause, it was trying to connect again with all the charts stuck on waiting for backfill data. This will work fine sometimes for me with version 1605 where I don't need the TWS running to backfill the charts.

We determined this is not the issue and it should not be.

Just make sure that Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is enabled and the data will be downloaded without connecting to Interactive Brokers.

That has always been set. What can I add to give you more details when this happens again? I already sent you the trade logs on Friday when this was happening and it was also happening on the day before this (the Thursday).

The Message Log file shows that there were no Intraday data downloads being performed. The Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds option not being enabled or an issue with the Symbol Settings are the only two possible reasons.

This is happening again. I have hit "send for analysis" button again. It says it is trying to connect to IB even though I hit the "Dis" button shortly after starting Sierra. No charts load with new data since I shutdown last night. They remain with yellow box saying "Waiting to Download Historical Data".

For us to determine what is happening, we would need to get the following files:
Sierra3.cfg
GlobalSymbolSettings.XML
The Chartbook file

These can be privately attached here by following these instructions:

Letting you know we are able to reproduce the problem and we have a general idea why it is happening. We will work on a solution.

After a lot of analysis we have determined a relatively simple patch for this particular scenario and have implemented it.

Unfortunately, one reason this get so complicated has to do with market data controls to comply with exchange rules. The whole thing is just so ridiculous because it makes our work more difficult and it creates some of these these unusual scenarios where things don't work right in regards to historical data.
