an email message to bitmex, perhaps you two could work on a solution for a more or less accurate P/L in SierraChart...

Since Bitmex base is Bitcoin, not sure what that would look like...but at least the dollar P/L needs to be realistic...their take is pretty high and it can push what looks like a decent dollar P/L to a negative Bitcoin p/l after fees.

Perhaps SierraChart could report both the dollar and bitcoin p/l....being that it is a dynamic situation, of course, it would be a snapshot at the time the position was closed.

Hi John,

What I would really like to see is an accurate P/L real time on the SierraChart platform.

I'm used to trading Futures, which is simple, more or less $6 per round trip. Some of the trading platforms (not sure about SierraChart), allow a fixed amount to be set for in/out, and that, while not 100% accurate, is fairly good when shown in the trade log profit/loss.

Being that you use inverse formulas and that your base currency is Bitcoin, it is not readily apparent what the profit is. As well, the trading platform cannot know your fees under the current paradigm, which are much different than what I'm used to.

I would like to see the REAL profit, after your fees, inside the trading platform (SierraChart) normal reporting mechanism.

Now I may show a profit in SierraChart, in dollars, but when I go to your web platform, the trading fees have pushed it negative in Bitcoin.

One more thing to draw in the more advanced traders from SierraChart, etc.

I will post something like this to SierraChart.

Thanks

Hi Slulay,

As mentioned in an email sent a short while ago, we have recently pushed a batch of fixes for our Sierra Chart integration. I would like to especially thank you for forwarding us details of the bugs you encountered as this was very useful for our developers.

Regards,

John.
