Have been using SC full-time, since 2006, but just now trying to use DOM Trader with IB TWS.

Set-up & placed a few orders & executions this morning for ES; worked fine.

I played with colors, etc., but now, I am able to Buy/Sell at Mkt, but nothing happens when clicking on Buy/Sell at Bid/Ask.

Please advise.

Check the status of the orders you submitted. You can see that in Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders.

Also have a look at the Trade Activity Log to find out what happened to the orders. Refer to:

Apparently a failure to communicate:

Absolutely NOTHING happens when I click on Buy/Sell Bid/Ask.

However, Buy/Sell at Mkt does work.

A precise answer would be helpful, rather than pointing to a misc help file.

Thanks.

It is impossible for us to provide precise answers since you hold the information with the answer.

Are the buttons disabled and you cannot click on them?

If you can click on them, then an order is submitted. It would have to be unless you are not connected to that trading service. However, in that case you would get an error message in the Trade >> Trade Service Log. Although that would happen with any kind of order you submitted. So if the order has been submitted what is the status of the order as shown in Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders?

What does the Trade >>Trade Activity Log show for the order? Documentation:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php

So as you can see, we have the same questions. The only other thing we have concluded is that maybe the buttons are disabled but this is only a guess. If they were disabled, you would have known that and then ask how to make them enabled.

Let me try just one final time:

I can click on Buy at Market and an order is executed.

Nothing happens when I click on Buy at Bid, or Ask; nor Sell at Bid/Ask.

So what you said is NOT true:

If you can click on them, then an order is submitted.

I am connected, as there is no problem executing a market order.

And to repeat, the "Trade Orders and Positions" window is empty. If I click on the "Buy" column on DOM (at bid price) an order is placed, and then the limit price was executed.

So, I am clearly connected to IB's TWS Trade Service.

Is there any way that the Buy/Sell at Bid/Ask buttons can be disabled?

Please do NOT repeat the same nonsense in the prior so-called answers.

I don't mean to be rude, but you are really wasting my time with such nonsense.

None of what you are hearing from us is nonsense. You are talking to the engineers who developed the software. We fully understand what we are talking about. We are not wasting anyones time. Basically you are telling us something that we have never ever heard before and is not even technically possible. We have to do a remote assistance session for you to show us what you are seeing for us to actually see what is going on because it is not making any sense to us.

We need you to set a telephone number in your account. Go to this page and set your telephone number:
