We heard from ABN. Sierra Chart is now authorized to be used with CQG when clearing through them.

These are the CQG account requirements:
CQG Trading Platform Service: CQG Account Requirements

Your CQG account also must be enabled for historical price data. That is essential.

When you are ready to get this set up, just let us know and we will give you a free time extension at that time.

Also, let us know what particular symbols you want market data for so we can make sure they are listed for CQG .

Hi, I am looking to purchase a license to Sierra Chart with the view of using the Market Replay feature via a CQG account. I have been informed by the company I work for that a CQG representative has already contacted Sierra Chart. The contracts I am seeking to have market data for are the Australian 90-Day Bank Accepted Bills futures, the 3- and 10-year Australian Treasury Bond futures, the Australian 3-year/10-year spread (its CQG code is YTXT33U7) and the 10-year US Treasury Notes futures. I just wanted to check before I purchase a license whether I will have access to these contracts through the Market Replay feature.

Also, it would be really helpful if I could trial the Market Replay feature for even an hour or two. I signed up for an account on one of the shared computers in the office that may already have had Sierra Chart installed and because of that I think may not be able to access the free trial.

We apologize for the delay with the response.

We need to set up Symbol Settings for the following:
Australian 90-Day Bank Accepted Bills futures, the 3- and 10-year Australian Treasury Bond futures, the Australian 3-year/10-year spread (its CQG code is YTXT33U7)

Just give us about two days to do these.

Symbol settings already exist for:
10-year US Treasury Notes futures.

Any symbol can be replayed. The most important thing is that your CQG account is provided access to historical price data. Your broker needs to set that up for you.

Also your Sierra Chart account is fully active at this time. It has trial time on it.

Actually, most likely we will get all of the symbols done by the end of the day.

You just need to update the Symbol Settings following the instructions here after we are done:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Symbol Settings

Here are the CQG setup instructions:

Here are the instructions for replay:

Thanks for getting the symbols set up. I just wanted to clarify whether there is intraday tick data for these symbols as I am looking to replay DOM windows. I have followed the instructions provided in the links above and have managed to get the historical data up but not the intraday data. I have also followed the video demonstration in post #11 but with no success. So I was just wondering if it is the case that I haven't used the correct settings or if there is in fact no intraday tick data for these particular ASX24 symbols?

There is and this will be provided by CQG and we have repeatedly said that you must have your CQG broker authorize your CQG account for historical data. We knew this is not going to happen automatically and that is why we have gone out of our way to stress this over and over again.

If you post a copy of your Message Log following these instructions we can tell if you are getting that data:

I have sent a copy of the log by pressing the "Send For Analysis" button after attempting to access intraday data for F.US.HTSU17. (The chartbook I used was the one provided in the link in post #11 above.) I have been informed by the company I work for that my CQG broker had authorised my account for historical data. However, if that is not the case, then I will try to get them to contact the broker again.

There are two problems we are seeing. For other symbols the network you are on is blocking the connection for historical data:
HD Request # 46 | Error downloading historical Intraday data for F.US.ULAU17. Timeout error connecting to server. | 2017-09-12 14:22:19

HD Request # 49 | Error downloading historical Intraday data for F.US.FVAU17. Timeout error connecting to server. | 2017-09-12 14:23:19

Refer to:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Error when Downloading Historical Intraday Data from the Sierra Chart Historical Data Server

For this symbol we do not see any historical data downloading even being done: F.US.HTSU17

Open an Intraday for that symbol and select Edit >>Delete All Data and Download. After that provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

Hi,

Just to follow up on this. As advised by Sierra Chart support, the authorisation for intraday historical and live data has been granted by CQG.

We are able to see the intraday historical data for the F.US.HTS and F.US.HBS products succesfully (30 days). However, the issue now is we are unable to see the historical intraday data for F.US.HXS. Can you please help with this?

Please find attached the Message Log screenshots for the success of HTS and failure of HXS. It seems like there is a connection timeout when an attempt is made to download HXS data whereas the HTS data downloads without any issue.

Thanks

Either allow network ports 10149, 10150 from your workstation and network, or try using port 80 as explained here:

Changing to port 80 has solved the issue.

I have a few more questions as follows:

1) For the market replay feature, the DOM ladder shows a static current bid/ask volume of 1. Is it possible for the actual bid and ask volume changes to be shown while the chart is replayed?

2) The spread between HTS/HXS which is also listed on the ASX24 (F.US.YTXT) does not load at all (including historical daily/ intraday / live). Is this an authorisation issue?

Thanks

1. Only if market depth data is available and has been recorded. Refer to:
Replaying Charts: Replaying of Market Depth Data

Also have a look at these available market data columns:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns (Chart Specific)

2. So you are using this symbol?: F.US.YTXT
