I am trying to figure out spreadsheets. I have downloaded several samples from the files collection, but can't seem to get anything to work. I think I did everything at Using the Spreadsheet Study but nothing is showing up. Is there a Sierra spreadsheets for Dummies for a complete Idiot giving step by step instructions on how to use spreadsheets? |

When you say nothing is showing up, where are you referring to? Are you referring to values on a Sheet within a Spreadsheet Window or on the chart?

I tried to apply several of the spreadsheet examples from the additional files page - https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AdditionalFiles.php. I go through the steps at https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/UsingTheSpreadsheetStudy.php, but I do not know what settings to change, so I stop at step 7. On the samples page, there is no reference to changing settings. The spreadsheet shows up at the bottom of the chart (region 2), much like MACD or RSI, but nothing shows up in that area. No numbers, no lines, no graphs, just a blank area with the spreadsheet name on the name area. As originally stated, I am trying to learn to use spreadsheets. I want to see if it will do a scan/alert on a number of tickers based on certain criteria. |

We have looked at the Spreadsheet files on that page. Many of those files are not meant to be used with the Spreadsheet study. And all of those Spreadsheet files, were out of date because they use the old Spreadsfile file format and would not display anything.
