I often wondered why the "Time Line" tool study has to be so complicated, seems like a simple tool. Maybe others do other things with it that I don't.

When I apply the Time Line tool study for a vertical line, the line only goes to the daily Hi/low at that point in time. Ive tried different settings like dot, line, dash, whatever. Why won't it cover the whole region like the Vertical Line tool from the Tool bar? Or why isn't that Vertical Line Tool available to be added as a Study?

In addition, the "Display in Forward Projection Area" doesn't work in any version I've had as its explained in the Help info. It says it will be forward projected to that future place depending on your setting. With my charts, It tics along with bars BEFORE the time until it is reached. Hardly forward projected. From my understanding, it will project "Allowed Range for match in minutes" in the future. So a one will be 1 minute in the future? But I use 1 second chart bars. If I want it 10 seconds (bars) before the preferred time I would put .167 (10/60)? That wouldn't seem right, bc now I have it set to 0, with NO as my option for Display in Forward Projection Area?, yet the vertical line still tics along before the actual time I have it set for. Why is it doing this?
Thanks
Regards

It may seem complicated because matching times is a very complex subject. With a wide range of possibilities and requirements.

A study can only be drawn in the particular Chart Region it is set to be displayed in.

In addition, the "Display in Forward Projection Area" doesn't work in any version I've had as its explained in the Help info.
This is a new issue due to recent changes. This will be resolved in the next release.

But I use 1 second chart bars. If I want it 10 seconds (bars) before the preferred time I would put .167 (10/60)?
No, this is not supported.

Why is it doing this?
This is because you have set "Allowed Range for match in minutes" to 0.
