Hi,

Is there any way to assign a shortcut to the function "Cut Drawing Here"? I currently access through right clicking on the object and selecting the menu item. A shortcut would reduce this process which I repeat a lot during the day.

Thanks.

No, we do not even see how this would make sense because the location to cut the drawing is not known.

I figured you could left click on the drawing then hit the assigned hotkey to cut the drawing at that place.

I'd also like a hotkey for this function. I repeat this process 100+ a day as well.

Since SC currently cuts the drawing at the point where I right-click and select "Cut Drawing Here",

left-clicking a drawing and pressing a hotkey to cut the drawing at that spot as the OP suggested makes sense.

I'd also like hotkeys for "Snap to High/Low" and "Extend Drawing" which I use just as frequently.

Auto Snap Sensitivity set at "High" is not enough sometimes so I often need to double-check the accuracy by using the Snap function.

I've been wondering why you are unable to customize hotkeys for these since you can set hotkeys for almost everything else.

The hotkeys would be really useful.

Any plans in the near future for having them enabled?

Are they in the cue at all?

You can easily do this with a multi key Macro function. I have it programmed on a Razer keypad and works perfectly. There are other free ways you can do it too.

We are reviewing this again now.

You can assign a keyboard shortcut to Cut Single Drawing and Cut Drawing Mode through Global Settings >> Customize Keyboard Shortcuts >> Tools >> More Tools.

Once you use that keyboard command, you then click on the line that you want to cut at the location you want to cut it. This is how this is supported.

Therefore, there is no plan to add anything else. Any other implementation would be inconsistent with the design of drawing tools in Sierra Chart.

Hi Sierra Chart,

Thank you for this shortcut 'Cut Single Drawing' it works amazing!

@CNTS, have you tried 'Tools >> 'auto snap on adjust' & 'auto snap on creation'?
