Good morning,

I am writing you because I am trying to modify the visualisation of the Fx market from 5 to 4 digital numbers after the mark. (from 0.12345 to 0.1234)

I followed all the instruction found here, at the end of this page (Chart Settings: Decimal Point Position for Main Price Graph) bu I am still finding some trouble.

I did some pictures in order to you to understand what I mean with "problem representation" because I still don't understand if it is me, that I am doing something wrong, or there is some problem with the settings.

Please, find the attached to see what I mean.

Another thing I noticed is that even though I put the flag on "Auto-set from data feed" or not into the Chart-->Chart setting-->Main setting,
I can still modify everything with no problem.

I tried also to leave the "price display format" to 0.00001 and modify the tick size to 0.0001 instead of 0.00001 and the box size to 1-15 instead of 10-15 (so actually like this I can still "see" the 5th decimal on the chart but "jump" all the 10 5th digit number when going over with the mouse) and the charts are exactly the same with any problem visualization.

Can you please help to figure out the problem?

Thanks,
Fabio.

Hi,

I noticed another thing that maybe usefully for you.

I noticed that not just the bars are different, but also the time showed at the same point of the chart is different.
I mean, when the market quotes the level "x" on both representations, even though the bars are different the time should be the same isn't it?
Please find attached in order to see this.

I am sorry for the "messy" on the chart but I am working with different markets and backtesting different strategies, just noticed the 2 red bars corresponding to the time and the bar.

Thank,
Fabio.

No, we would not expect this at all. That would not make sense. We would fully expect there to be timestamp differences between those chart columns.

Do not use Auto-set From Data Feed. Uncheck that.

The reason for the difference is because you are changing the Price Display Format which is a critical setting used in the comparison of the values. This must always remain the same and be .00001 for the greatest precision.
