I see your Rithmic feed through Optimus provides a great deal of historic tick data yet I'm not clear on how much I can expect when using range bars through Deep Discount. I only need a few days but I want to be sure I will get that. I understand that Rithmic is providing you with one minute bars and all sub minute bars are constructed by you. How, if at all, should that effect me if I and using 4 tick range bars or reversal bars or whatever that require the bars to break when they break rather than on the minute? For the most accurate Range and Reversal bars, you will need historical tick by tick data. Unless you stay connected to the data feed as much as possible to collect the Tick by tick data in real-time.

I'm not sure if I was clear enough in my intitial post/question. I'm not trying to back test I'm only concerned with intraday trading. If the conection gets broken and I reconect in five minute can I refresh connected to the Rithmic/Deep Discount feed? Will the Rithmic feed fill in the few minutes that I am gone? There must be some period of time where the feed has me covered. Is it an hour, a day or three days or is it all dependent on carture in the moment. |

When using the Rithmic system, the data that is missing from the chart will be downloaded upon reconnection
