DTC Messages Support for symbol discovery and trading

I am currently working on a DTC Client application. I would like to be able to utilize the Trading, and Symbol Discovery messages but it appears these are not supported based on the documentation and my testing. I am using the built in DTC Protocol server in Sierra Chart for testing. examples of messages i'm interested in are : OPEN_ORDERS_REQUEST, ORDER_UPDATE , CURRENT_POSITIONS_REQUEST, SYMBOLS_FOR_EXCHANGE_REQUEST , SYMBOL_SEARCH_REQUEST etc. Have I missed some critical information that would allow me to do what i want to do? ( use the DTC messages associated with Trading and Symbol Discovery ) Are there any plans to implement these messages? Thanks, |

These are absolutely supported in the DTC Protocol Server in Sierra Chart: OPEN_ORDERS_REQUEST, ORDER_UPDATE , CURRENT_POSITIONS_REQUEST,
Just make sure you have enabled this option: Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> SC Server Settings >> DTC Protocol Server >> Allow Trading. This is also supported: SYMBOLS_FOR_EXCHANGE_REQUEST The exchange field is ignored and returns security definitions for the known symbols for the current Data/Trade service that Sierra Chart is currently set to work with.
