issue transitioning from 1 comp to the other

signed up with amp/cqg yesterday and hav sc running on my secondaty computer
the main computer has ib/sc (data)
i am unable to connect to my amp account thru the main comp as it reverts to my ib account
i tried to download a new sc on my main file but it seems to only update the existing file

Not totally sure what you mean. But you just need to follow through the CQG setup instructions here:

Followed the instructions as posted and have not been able to accomplish the 2 sc scenario
I now have lost my original sc/ib charts (cqg/amp are now present)
In the download file the original sc/ib file is still present
when I download an additional copy of sc it does not add additional desktop icon
please help as Ive been battling this problem foe nearly a week

We will help you with this with remote assistance after the market close. We need to check on the installer and make sure it creates unique shortcuts for different folder installations.
