A goofy anomaly is occurring. When populating a certain chart with Horizontal Lines, they are showing up unintentionally on another chart. On that chart(the one receiving the lines unintentionally) I do NOT have the Setting "Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s___:"/the Adv. Settings 2 tab, filled in with anything. It is blank.

Are these new lines that you are drawing?

If so, we do not see how this is possible unless the Copy Chart Drawings from Chart # setting has been set with the source chart number.

Yes. They were new lines I was drawing.

BUT, I think I might have discovered wherein the problem might lie. On the computer being affected, I have the newest version 1549. I do not have the problem on my other computer/instance with version 1547.

Just out of curiosity, I looked at Chart Settings>Adv. Settings 3 on that version (the unaffected). Page was blank/no options. I went back to the affected computer (Version 1549) and noticed to my surprise, Adv. Settings 3 DID have three new options, one of which was "Allow Modifications of Chart Drawings from Other Charts".

I guess it is checked by default upon updating (?). I had never noticed it before, nor did I ever have a reason to go to Adv. Settings 3 before.

I unchecked the option, backed out the previous lines, entered new ones, and so far, at least in the few minutes before you replied (thank you for such a speedy response at way past midnight EDT) I'm not getting the anomalous behavior.

Only problem is I'll probably have to go back through all my charts in all my Chartbooks and uncheck that box!! Maybe it should not be checked by default at update, huh?? I'll update you/this post if I continue to have the problem reappearing.

BTW...forgot to mention. The effect was NOT occurring for drawn Rectangles or Ellipse. It DID happen for "Type Text", but did not copy the text itself, but it left an outline of a few dots on the price lines for what would have been the rectilinear dimensions of the text space "allocation/size"!! Weird.

There should not be a problem with this.

We need understand why this is happening and seeing exactly what you are doing. We will need to use a remote assistance session sometime after the close on Monday. Would that be all right?

Could you please set your telephone number here:

Unfortunately I will not be available until later in the evening, EDT, after the close of market today. I appreciate your rapid response to try to get to the bottom of this. I have, however, tried something earlier on my own. I opened a brand new chartbook with a symbol/market that I do not usually use. I opened four charts: two time based of different intervals (5m and 30m); the third was a TPO Profile chart; the fourth was a different "Bar Period Type"(a Range Bar). This is how I usually format my Chartbooks, using reference lines from the Minutes interval charts and the TPO Profile charts and having them "Copied" to the Range Bar charts via Adv. Settings 2 on the receiving Range Bar charts. I have just finished setting it up and will "experiment" with horizontal lines, text and other drawing tools later today/evening. I will update this post with my findings. If there is still a problem, I'll inform and perhaps at your convenience we can work together on this as you suggested.
