Hi Sierra, Just curious, the live data feed used by Sierra Charts is from Barcharts, they have ASX equities listed as a market data option in their packages, is it not an option for live data via sierra or is it a internal decision based on low demand? Many thanks. |

Does Barchart provide real-time ASX equities data? If they do then we can offer this. That should not be a problem. We were not aware of this.

They have it listed in their market data for equities; http://www.barcharttrader.com/exchanges.php?#stocks But I will send them an email to confirm if it is realtime or only intraday historical. |

ah right. Thanks for taking it further, I did ask them directly if they have a live feed for ASX equities, I do not really consider 15 min delayed the same thing, that is disappointing from their support. But, thank you for your time. |

I spoke with CQG, they told me live ASX equity data is ONLY available on CQG IC. They said futures data is available to sierra charts but not ASX Equity live data.

live ASX data is like a unicorn, haha. There are a couple providers in Australia, Iguana Spark & Paritech Pulse. I have spoken to Iguana support, there is no way to connect to their platform data outside of Spark. Not spoken to Paritech support, but looking at their site I would not be expecting much assistance. |

This only goes to show the ridiculous and absurd position that exchanges have which makes data access limited and unreliable. The whole concept of charging exchange fees, vendor fees, and ridiculous connectivity fees, only makes market data access costly, unreliable, and complicated to access.
