I believe there could be a problem or perhaps I am misunderstanding the study. When using the bid & ask depth bars on a 1 trade chart with 1 depth, the study uses 2 levels on one side and compares it to one level on the other. Instead of tracking just best bid and best offer, it adds an additional level from the side that just traded.

Inherently it is unreliable setting the Maximum Depth Levels to Use to 1. It is just not going to work right at all. And no, we cannot necessarily make this any better. The implementation of that Input is complicated.

We cannot guarantee though, limiting the number of depth levels in the calculation is always going to work properly.

The bid & ask depth bars are not working with time and sales data.

There is no problem. There were no changes and we verified the study does work properly with the Time and Sales data.
