Hello,

I am using the sc.GetBasicSymbolData in a study to get 15 oil stocks from the Bats exchange. Just subscribed to the free trial.

Having problem getting data. Here are two symbols from the list.

dp.bz
xom.bz

getting:

Symbol Error - XOM.BZ is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. FIX reject reason: Unknown contract | 2017-04-24 00:19:11

thx

We need to contact Gain Capital about this. There are some details that need to be implemented on our side to make this work properly.

OK

Creating a "Curde Oil" and "Gold" stock tick index similar to the NYSE tick.

Will post the custom chart code if it has any relevance to market activity. Here are the symbols:

const char * StockSymbol[] = { "bp.bz", "nbl.bz","vol.bz","cop.bz","mro.bz","cvx.bz","eog.bz","sto.bz","su.bz","mpc.bz","pbr.bz","oxy.bz","apc.bz","tot.bz","psx.bz","hes.bz","xom.bz" }; //curde stocks 16

const char * StockSymbol[] = { "gg.bz" , "abx.bz" , "agi.bz", "nem.bz" , "au.bz", "gfi.bz" , "gold.bz" , "sbgl.bz" , "ngd.bz" , "kgc.bz" , "aem.bz" , "ego.bz", "bvn.bz" , "hmy.bz" , "auy.bz" }; //gold stocks 14

Thx

We can see that we misunderstood.

You need to access this data from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and not Gain Capital.

What version of Sierra Chart are you running?

It needs to be a current version of Sierra Chart. And also restart Sierra Chart.
