Hi,

On my chart which are set to ZN pit hours, and non hours. So day time frame- 8:20 to 14:59:59, and night hours are from 15:00 to 8:19:59. My studies reflect current day, and previous day reference point. Markets traded past pit friday close and counted it as one night, then took sunday and counted it as one night. So instead of 1 study set for total over night reference, I have two split reference settings. How can I combine fafter pit close riday data and sunday night/monday morning so it is one?

Thank you,

A

However, if you let us know one of the particular studies you are using, where this is a problem with, we may be able to make a change to it where the Friday evening session can also be included with the Sunday/Monday trading day.

We do not want to make a promise, but we need to know what the study is to see if it is reasonable to do.

Daily OHLC, Study Subgraphs average, High/low time period extended.

Those three ^^--- if you look at the picture it shows how it almost has its own little mini friday session from 15:00-18:00. (RTH close to ETH close) will let you know if I find any more.

IF you look, the study "volume value are lines", shaded goldish, succsfully ignores the post friday session and carries it forward to monday, where as those listed above are cut short.

Thanks!

Was that the information you needed? It is illustrated in the picture posted in my first post of this thread. Happy to post whatever else you need. This would really help me out, as my studies are perfect for everyday but Monday...grrrr

Yes this is enough information. Please allow us 1 to 2 months to look into this.

Also, we see that you posted in someone else's thread/support request claiming you had the same problem.

What they were describing was totally and completely different and we had to delete your post because it only was creating confusion. Do not post in other users threads.

Their issue was a complete non-issue and based upon a misunderstanding.

Got it. Won't happen again. I made another post regarding the failure to delete/ignore Saturday and/or total weekend data in my charts. That actually make be the problem here. Maybe not.

Thank you.

We are going to look at this next week and see if there is a reasonable solution to this.

Thanks a lot. Here is another example. Maybe the easiest solution is the forget post pit friday hours? Attached is another pic if it helps.

We are now marking this resolved. We are adding this new input to the Daily OHLC study:

Include Friday Evening with Sunday Evening Session

We will see how it works and then we can see about adding it to others.

Or maybe just "Ignore Friday Evening", because we should be starting the new week on Sunday. Grains show this well in the attached picture, as they didnt trade after pit close on friday.

The way to ignore Friday evening data is to exclude Saturday since that is considered Saturday data.

Go to Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times. Select Do Not Load Weekend Data or just Load Sunday Data but Sunday data would be considered part of Monday. So you really do not need to load any weekend data.

This would be good on all studies. Combine friday night/sunday data. Especially for volume profile, and time period extended.

Food for thought.

Thanks again.
