Hi. Is there a way to add a draw style that creates a horizontal ray that ends until future intersection with price? I'd like a horizontal line on one that I have and I've been through the whole list of options and there doesn't appear to be an option for this. I can draw lines or boxes that go up or down but I don't see anything that extends to the right. Is this possible to add or is there an option for this already available?

Thank you.

There is not a Draw Style but ACSIL does support this exact capability.

Refer to:
sc.AddLineUntilFutureIntersection()

I'm not familiar with ASCIL. Does it require a 4 year degree to learn or something? Would this be a feature that I could add to the existing color bar alert condition?

Is this a feature that you can add to the indicator? You have 50 draw styles roughly but not this one. I have to believe that I'm not the only one who has suggested this. Work with me here. I'll spend time on ASCIL if it's fairly straight forward. Is there a good tutorial on how to use it?

I'll do it myself if it's possible to add it to the color bar indicator but if I have to start from scratch it will be difficult.

Any assistance or input you can provide is appreciated. Thank you.

Here is the information about ACSIL:
Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language (ACSIL)

Anyway, we did add to the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study, the ability to extend the true condition forward as an extension line.

That's so great! Thank you. I just downloaded the current version (1545) and I don't see it as an option. Is it in a pre-release or is it yet to be rolled out yet? Thanks again.

I have the same requirement as this customer, namely a 'Color Bar based on Alert Condition' Draw Style option that would automatically extend a 'ray' horizontally to the right of the price candle.
Having read through this conversation (below) there seems to be a solution, but I am afraid I cannot find it. Could you please point me to it.

For clarity, I am looking for something that does the same job as the 'Extending Rectangle' tool.

The one study that has the ability built into it is the Volume at Threshold Alert V2 with the Input named Draw Extension Lines with Transparent Range. Refer to the information here:
Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2

This is available with ACSIL programming as well through the function at the following link:
sc.AddLineUntilFutureIntersectionEx()

Thanks for your help with this, especially on a Sunday, but I am afraid, the solution you have suggested does not provide the answer.

As the 'other' customer wrote, it is surprising that there is not already a 'Draw Style' for this within 'Studies'. By that, I mean one that replicates what the 'Extending Rectangle' in Tools, offers.

Like him / her, I would have thought this would be of value to many.

User389912:

There is not a way to do this with the Extension Lines.
