1X0 and 0X1 prints generated by Numbers Bars on Renko Charts

As seen on the attached chart the numbers bars study generates many 0X1 and 1X0 prints on Renko charts. To my understanding it is unlikely to get so many such prints and they do not reflect the real orderflow at those prices. The problem is that it also causes many imbalance signals (diagonal comparison signals) that are not real too. I guess it has to do with the way Sierra builds the Renko bars. I hope this can be changed.

+1 this has been an issue for ages, I'm not sure if it's related to how Sierra builds the start/finish of the bar, or otherwise ?

The 1x0 problem seems to be resolved but when I look at the bars they do not look like correct Renko bars. Attached is an image of a 5t Renko bars chart. One example of a bar that seems wrong to me is shown on the image. As far as undersdand (and as seen in this image from the SC documentation of Renko bar charts) https://www.sierrachart.com/images/RenkoBars.png - A renko bar will always open either at the open or the close price of the previous bar. As seen in the attached image this not the case with my renko chart. Prerelease 1542 (But I dont think this issue started at 1542). Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-04-11 19:20:07

Numbers Bars show the true Open and Close values. Not the Renko Open and Close. Thanks for the fast reply. As you can see on the attached regular (Not numbers bars) 5t Renko chart the same problem persists. Bars open at the middle of the previous bars body/brick. This is what we were concerned with the change that was made and there was going to be some further analysis we were going to be doing today related to this to make sure everything is working as expected. For now we have to revert this change. The Renko bars was worked on by another developer that is no longer with us. At this point we just have to rebuild the Renko code from scratch and organize it differently. Allow about 60 days for this. This is just yet another thing, which is setting us back with our development schedule. One thing to keep in mind is the particular price level that you see that has 1 | 0 or 0 | 1, can just be ignored. It is only a single trade. There were some problems with the initial rebuild of Renko bars that was most noticeable when using the Numbers Bars Study. This is now all resolved, in version 1630 and higher. There is one to two additional details we are still looking into today and will address, but these are only small details. Not likely anything that would be noticeable.
