I have an Excel spreadsheet with numbers and texts.
I would like to display
a) text on a chart linked to a particular spreadsheet cell (A1)
b) few horizontal lines which values depends on particular cells values (B1, C1, D1)

can it be done in SC? how should I go about it ?

Edit : the text and the values are constants, not linked to any chart or price change..

Without using ACSIL, it's not possible to display text on a chart from a spreadsheet cell, with this exception:
-Text at the right edge, or in the fill space, of a formula output from a row 2 cell of the same Formula Column, when using the Name Label.

Despite its name, the Text Display For Study study only displays numerals.

As for drawing lines from a spreadsheet, this can best be done using the Spreadsheet Study study. Instead of using Excel, you could add a Sheet that is not associated with a chart where your values are located, then reference those cells in Formula Columns on the sheet that is associated with the chart.

The Spreadsheet Study allows you to use Excel, but no support is provided if there are issues, and the functionality does not auto-populate cells in 'Formula Columns'. You may be able to make this work, but it might be more trouble than using the built-in Spreadsheet Study.
