the relative volume study is set to >=5 currently in sierra. If i wanted to look at the relative volume for a current 15 or 5 minute timeframe relative to the average 20 24 hour sessions during that timeframe, what would the setting need to be adjusted to?

THnaks.

How do i adjust the period-days to include relative volume study input to 20? Does this mean just change the lookback period to 20?

Is this a question about how to change study Inputs?

Here is the documentation for that:

its a question pertaining to what the automated setting attached to this email is actually basing relative volume off of. Is this based upon the relative volume of the last 5 bars or 5 days for that session timeframe? If days then all i need to do is change the input setting to 20 obvsiously. If 5 periods then i need to know how to switch the setting to days. I am confused as to where "period days to include" is even located on the settings and inputs tab.

You are using the wrong Relative Volume study. That is a user contributed study. It was not developed by Sierra Chart. Do not use that study.

You need to use this study which is also called Relative Volume:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s356

You will see it directly listed in Analysis >> Studies.
