Hy, I updated to version 1005 and there is now support for multiple accounts for IB advisors in the TAL. I very much appreciate the new developments, however, the entry quantity in the TAL when selecting "all accounts" is not correct. Eg. I buy 500 shares of a stock for account 1 and 500 shares of the same stock for account 2. Now, the total entry quantity for all accounts should be 1000 shares, but SC displays 2000 shares as entry quantity when I select "All accounts" in the TAL. It also displays 2000 shares as exit quantity once I close the trade.
It always seems to be 2x the quantity it should be. The entry/exit quantities displayed for the individual accounts are correct.

This has to be looked at in relation to the order fills themselves. Go to the Trade Activity tab and at the top left select "Fills". What do you see about the order fills from the Financial advisor account that does not look correct.

I figured it out, its because of the way the IB advisor system works. IB uses a separate master account number (IB uses the initial "F" to recognize those accounts), through which all trades are processed and then allocated to the individual sub-accounts (those accounts are named with an "U" as first letter). SC logs the trades in the individual sub-accounts and the master account and counts them alltogether when selecting "all accounts", which leads to the 2x trade quantities I stated above.. What would need to be done is to exclude the trades from the master account. The master account can be identified as it always starts with the letter F, is there something you can do about that?

another question, my message log gives the following message today:
IB Trading service: Stopping automatic Trade Position updates for account: UXXX | 2013-08-06 08:06:20
Message from IB: API client has been unsubscribed from account data.. IB Error Code: 2100. Request ID: -1. | 2013-08-06 08:06:20

how to get the automatic trade position updates back working?

thank you

We definitely should not do anything to exclude the filtering of order and fill data from the master account or any account.

Do you notice a problem with the positions not being correct in the Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Positions tab.

The positions are correct.
Download of historical order fill data into the trade activity log is not working properly for me.

Thank you for pointing this out. This will be resolved with a new release coming out today. There was an old historical order fill filter that had to be removed that is not relevant any longer.

Yes we did, but we can see there is more work involved to properly support downloading of historical order fill data on a Financial Advisor account and we are working on that. We will have a new release out by morning.

Please update to the latest prerelease again to get the newest revision that solves the problem with historical order fills and also properly handles position data on a financial advisor account.

Upgraded to 1009 but unfortunately it still doesn`t look right. After downloading fills, I still get unmatched fills in the F account.

Also, I would like to point out that summing up the trades of the sub accounts in the F account isn`t really correct, because the F account doesn`t hold or trade anything. This approach leads to an overexpression of the shares traded when selecting "all accounts". Instead, I would propose to show no trades under the F account, and just sum up the trades of the sub-accounts when selecting "all accounts" in the TAL.

At this point we have done all we can. Make sure you are on the latest version for all the latest developments with this and take note of step number 18 in this section here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/IB.php#SetupInstructions

The Trade Activity Log does not have the capability specify a list of accounts for the reporting. It only can work with a single account or All Accounts. We cannot program any Interactive Brokers specific code into to Trade Activity Log window. This would not make technical sense.
