Hello,

I currently export all my spreadsheet data into Excel for further statistical analysis and research.
In light of the discontinued support of Excel functionality sometime in 2017 I am looking for alternatives.

Is trying write a program in C++ to do all the number crunching a practical alternative or am I completely off the mark there with what C++ is used for within Sierra?

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you considered copying and pasting your data from "Sierra Spreadsheet" into Excel and then doing the number crunching in Excel?

Yes, I have. I will do this if needed, but I am looking to avoid this as it has led to errors in the past.

There are no plans now to remove Excel support. This will not happen in 2017.

Yes this can be a practical alternative but we do not know exactly what you are doing.
