This is a repost from last week, as it was overlooked or it was ignored for some reason.

I'm trying to find a stop indicator similar to the 'parabolic' study, but is based on ATR, and has all or some of these parameters which can be set by the user:

# periods
Use Welles? yes/no
Smoothing: Exponential, etc.
# ATR: #

Please advise/ any suggestions...

Thank you,

Ben

If there was not an answer it is because it is not within the scope of our support. We have no suggestion for this.

I've read the sticky's about suggestions, etc. - which this was not.

But going forward, how long should I wait before I conclude that the message was not overlooked, but purposely disregarded for whatever reason?

Why not simply reply to a user "We have no suggestion for this."??

Yes we understand it is not a suggestion.

If you do not receive an answer within two days, then generally it is something that will not be answered but not necessarily.

We could have responded that way, but we left it for other users to respond to, to see if they had an idea. Usually what we do though is mark it as a User Discussion and do not responded and leave it for other potential responses from users.

Benjamin, Super Trend Stop study may be close to what you are looking for.

Marmany - thank you very much, this doesn't have the adjustable parameters I'm looking for, but it is decent enough facsimile for the moment that I'm using it. Big help, thank you.

Source code for the study is available in studies.cpp starting at line 229 if you want to have a go at adding in your additional parameters.

Kiwi's Trailing Stop is also based on the ATR.

Thank you tomgilb... I had tried Kiwi's but the SuperTrend is closer to what I need.

Marmany, I haven't been able to dig into the programming of Sierra Charts yet, or adjust the source code in studies - but that's something I definitely get into. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
