I have a numbers bars - calculated values study that references another chart that has a volume filter of 100 contracts or more. The study is still calculating using the total volume for the bars. As an example, the total Ask-Bid Volume might be 786 but if I have a bar with a filter that shows a 300 order on the ask and a 100 order on the bid I would expect for the filter to show 200 for the Ask-Bid Volume value. Instead it shows 786. I have the 'filter trade completely' box checked on my 100+ filtered chart. What am I missing?

Make sure that Filter Trade Completely is unchecked on the Source chart with the filtering.

And make sure the Source chart that has the volume filtering also has a Numbers Bars Calculated Values study on it. It can be in its default configuration and hidden.
