Line Tool Configuration Issue

After saving Line Tool Configurations, when creating a new Line the saved configuration is not being applied correctly.

1) I setup a new Line Tool Configuration. The part that is ultimately not being applied correctly is as follows:

Line Tool Config Settings Label Tab (Saved to TC1)
Copy Config Name to Text:  Checked
  Opaque Label Background:  Checked
  Horizontal Align:    Auto
  Vertical Align:      Auto

2) After saving the configuration, if I then create a new Line, the above information is not being applied correctly. I get the following instead:

Line Tool Config Settings Label Tab (Saved to TC1)
Copy Config Name to Text:  This is greyed out and un-checked BUT the Config Name IS successfully displayed in the Line Text
  Opaque Label Background:  Un-Checked
  Horizontal Align:    Left
  Vertical Align:      Top

3) If I then re-select the Line and apply TC1 (from Control Bar), the Lable1 default settings are still not correctly applied

4) If I then re-select the Line and apply TC1 (from within Line Properties Panel), the Label default settings are only then successfully applied!

This doesn't seem correct and is annoying because often the line text does not initially align as intended.

Also, are there any plans to introduce a Multiline Label option, such as that present in the Chart Calculation Tool?
If I try to introduce multi lines within text on a Line, the text alignment is often unpredictable and erratic.

Thanks.

2, 3. This is now resolved.

Regarding multiline text for a Line drawing, we confirmed that this does work properly. Here is an example set with the Modify Text command:
