IB connection to SC

Have newly installed Windows 10 on laptop and cannot connect to SC. Received error message to install 32-bit TWS over 64-bit and get API software from IB. Did this and still cannot connect. Prior to installing Win10 connection worked ok. Sending error log. Cancel request--found a settings error.
