i tried nesting 2 "Difference (Single Line)" studies with all chart timeframes set to 10 seconds (which seems to work at the 10-second time frame), but when i then create a 4th chart which is a duplicate of the nested Differences chart, setting the higher time-frame (say, 30 minutes) to the chart does not show the same values displayed.

So when i saw "Spread - 3 Chart" as a study option, i thought "yes, this is what i am looking for"...(and this looks better than the 30min nested Differences chart)
i've selected "Display as Main Price Graph" on the Spread-3Chart study

2 issues so far:

1) I've noticed that the wicks of the candles don't reach to the levels where i see the candle touch during the creating of the candle.
For instance, i'll see a candle bouncing between 22-->8...but when the level bounces off 8 (it printed there) and then ends up at 12, the wick of the candle (on the "Spread - 3 Chart" study) doesn't show that 8 was ever touched. I'm assuming something is being done to contain the extremes of the candles, in an effort to align the timing of the different securities, but this seems to be removing some values that actually traded.

2) The candles of the "Spread - 3 Chart" study are all the same color (solid green)...is there a way to make them "hollow" and "red when a down candle"?

You can create a high accuracy spread chart consisting of 3 charts by using the Spread-3 Chart study. Follow through the instructions here:

You just need to use the Spread-3 Chart study instead. The documentation has been updated.
