Quantity & Order Modification

I am experiencing intra-day changes in the pre-set quantity for # of contract's sent out and the " Confirm Order Modification" request tab also appears when a on screen price change (not quantity) is attempted....this tab was never requested. This has been occurring randomly over the last couple of months and always happens together. I use the "Trade Window for Chart" together with "Chart Trade Mode". Anyone else experiencing this? or how to prevent this?

To disable order confirmations , refer to the documentation here:

The order quantity and order confirmation options are specific to each Trade Window for each chart or Trade DOM. You may be switching among multiple Charts are Trade DOM windows.

An automated trading system can also change the quantity.

I know how to change the confirmation tabs and order quantity...what I am saying is they are changing automatically.... NOT BY ME !!!!! and not after a re-start but intra-day.

This could not be especially with the order confirmations. The only reasonable explanation is you are working with a different chart or Trade DOM with different settings.

Believe me I know how crazy this sounds that is why I didn't bring it up sooner. I use 4 monitors total... 2 monitors for the TF (225t & 900t) and 2 monitors for the 6E ( 225t & 900t) I believe I bring up the Trade Window from the 225t charts for the TF & 6E. Today in the TF I had 2 normal single contract executions without any order modification tabs appearing....but on the 3rd trade, executed identically off of the trade window a order for 2 contracts went to market and executed and when I went to maneuver out of the trade I received the " Order Modification" pop up. All 3 trades were executed identically and on the same chart & monitor....I kid you not!!! I never use "Trade Order Modification" controls. Can you think of any reason or remedy for this??

We know the order confirmations options are not going to get checked/enabled on their own after they have been deliberately unchecked.

Disable confirmations for order modifications and then save the Chartbook with File >> Save.

We realize probably what is going on here. Something we did not consider is that Order Confirmations are saved as part of a Trade Window configuration.

So if you ever change the configuration using the list box at the top of the Trade Window, that is going to restore the confirmations to what they were previously. We now have this documented here:
