hi, i am trying to find a study or function on SC that allows me to see the time it takes to print a range bar, lets say 2 ticks, or any type of price bar or volume bar. i want the time difference (delta) shown as a histogram/bar format below the chart. is that possible on SC?

thank you.

thank you for your help. i'm looking to enhance the study - current default setting for each bar time duration is green colour. i wish to make the bar time print green when the price bar prints a high bar and vice versa print a red bar in the bar time when the price bar is down.

For this, use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study:

You will need to add 2 instances of the study. One for each color.

Here's another method - Highlight the study > Settings > Subgraphs > Auto-Coloring select 'Based on Slope' from the drop down menu and then choose your colors for up and down bars, > Apply > OK

thank you. so helpful. since you brought up color bar based on alert condition i have another question. can i just check that if i want to reference the previous bar close it is c[-1] on alert and previous 2 bar close is c[-2] and etc? i wish to highlight the bar or have an arrow bar when there is a 3 bar formation up or down. is that possible?

hi ignore that request. i managed to do it using colour bars. however when i tried to change to arrow bars to show on top of the price bar, the price bar chart is compressed whilst the arrow sits at the bottom of the y-scale. is there a way around it or do i have to use colour bars only? not sure if you understand what i mean by that? thanks.

the price bar chart is compressed whilst the arrow sits at the bottom of the y-scale.

Here are step-by-step instructions to accomplish this:
