Can you tell me why the POC is different on the Volume Profile Chart vs the Market Profile Chart, when at that level is where the most contracts were traded? Unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Thanks

So we can understand this better, provide chart images which show what you are referring to.

Please know, I'm not saying anything is wrong. You guys know much more than I do about this, and I'm wondering if a particular level was the most active in a given day, why the Volume Profile POC would be different than the Market Profile POC.

I didn't attach images, because it would just show different POC levels between the two.

Thanks,

Hi,
you could get different POC's as the volume profile chart the vpoc (volume point of control) is the point where most volume has traded, whereas the POC on a standard TPO profile is where the market has spent most time (time at price is not necessarily a sign of acceptance, whereas volume is).
Hope this helps explain

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain that to me. I understand it now, and it makes perfect sense.
