Need Help With Auto Trading

Been reading on auto trading and I am not sure I can easily set up my system. Here is what I want to do....I want to use the Average True Range as my target (one half of that as my stop) with my initial stop moved to breakeven when the price goes in my direction by 1/2 ATR. I already do this manually via the Trade Window/Attached Orders for various Average True Range numbers. I manually enter my trade at the closing price of the candle/bar for whatever timeframe i am using. To accomplish this, I must continually change my Trade Window/Attached Orders to whatever the ATR is at any given time (e.g., it could have been 10 ticks ATR and now it is 13 ticks ATR...so i change the Trade Window drop down selection to one of my saved orders that corresponds to the current ATR...from 10 to 13 in this example). I then must manually try to enter my trade at the closing price as the signal candle/bar comes to completion (i.e., at the closing price on that signal candle/bar). I would like to set up an automation based on my indicators/conditions to automatically adjust my Trade Window/Attached Orders to the current Average True Range so that the correct order (with correct target/stop) are selected, and then automatically place that order at the closing price of the candle/bar which has just met my indicator conditions. I am sure SC can do this....any help is appreciated. |
