My Value Area levels seem to be off for certain days. For example, today. I'm using Volume by price and it's telling me the value area low today is 2158.25. All my other software that uses the same Rithmic feed is telling me it's 2157.75. I'm seeing several more instances of this looking back... Do you know what may be causing this? I'm attaching a screenshot of sierra and one from my other software showing 2157.75. Thanks, Mark |

I've gone through all the suggestions on this list and my levels are still off by or tick or two on some of the days. Changing the intraday data storage time unit to 1 tick made things a little better... instead of being off three ticks, they're off one tick. Do you have any other ideas? This is frustrating...

We need to approach this in a completely logical way. Are you interested in the TPO or Volume Value Area? For what period of time do you want this calculated for? And what should be the Session Times for the trading day? For what symbol? We will tell you the value area for Friday using reliable data. I am interested in the Volume Value Area, not TPO. I am interested in each day's volume profile. I only trade the ES. My Volume Value Area levels for Friday using Windotrader and Investor RT are 2178 and 2174. My levels using Sierra Chart are 2178 and 2174.25. The times are from 9:30 to 4:15. Regular Trading Hours. What you see in Sierra Chart is 100 percent correct and the other programs are wrong!! That we can assure you of 100%. If you want to believe otherwise, that is up to you. Here is the chart and data: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1470546443102.png And once again, if there are any inaccuracies, this section explains what you need to do: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TPOVolProfileCharts.html#IncorrectValues But in this particular case there are not.
