I'd like to add the NYSE Advance Decline Line to my chart. I guess this is the same as the Advance/Decline Ratio?

When I go to File>Find Symbol>Market Stats, I see the ADR-NYSE.

I open the Intraday Chart then I open my e-mini S&P chart

I go to Analysis>Studies but there is no ADR-NYSE on the left for me to add to the Studies to Graph area on the right.
There is an Advance Decline Line. When I ADD that to the right side and click on Settings, I just get a blank page..

What am I doing wrong? Do I use the ADXR?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bob

Refer to the market statistics page here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCMarketStatistics.php#Symbols

The particular symbol you want to use is NISS-NYSE

You can use that on its own or add the Advance Decline Line study. The description for the symbol explains more details.

If you want to overlay this onto another chart, refer to:

follow up: It worked! I just wish they had a step-by-step way to do it rather than have to visit 3 different areas and try to patch the whole thing together. I need Sierra Charts for Dummies.

Your account has been activated and/or reset.

If Sierra Chart is running, it will automatically be activated within about three minutes. However, you may need to exit from the Sierra Chart charting and trading software by selecting "File >> Exit". And then open Sierra Chart through the icon on your desktop or through the desktop Start menu.

After your Sierra Chart usage time ends, you need to pay for additional usage time through "Help >> Add Usage Credit".

Symbols are listed in File >> Find Symbol. For the Mini S&P 500 ES futures this is under File >> Find Symbol >> Futures-Indices.
