I have had 2 consecutive days in which I saw arrow alerts on my charts but did not execute an entry. What would be the reasoning behind this? thx

Ok so those alerts were ignored due to historical data being downloaded. Find log below. Anyway to avoid this? I upload the charts typically 10-20 minutes before the market opens.

These messages you posted here are from the Message Log and do not indicate a historical data download is in progress.

Did the Trade >> Trade Service Log indicate the reason a signal is ignored because there was a historical data download?

Have disconnected from SC since. Is there a way to recoup the Trade Service Log literature from this AM?

If you have exited from Sierra Chart, then no. It is not saved.

I will make a point to save the Trade Service Log data if this does happen to occur again. Occurred 2 separate times last week, both times related to before 06:32:00 AM PST. I believe all the settings I have in my spreadsheet are correct. Please review attachment if I may have missed anything. Thx again

This question is not within the scope of our support and beside your account is over on support requests and has no further entitlement to support unless there is additional payment made.

The other thing is we do not even know what the question is even in relation to. It does not matter what the Spreadsheet System/Alert study settings are if a signal from a formula column is being ignored because of a historical data download.

I have made payments on three separate occasions now for additional support. I also have been a customer for over a year and will continue to be as I have seen great value in the platform. I would think this would be a relatively easy problem to resolve.

- I have attached the alert manager logs for review, the stock that I'm trading is symbol TSLA, first alert today is 06:31:45.

- Column M (Sell Entry) contains a 1 or TRUE value.

-Auto Trading is enabled as Trade Simulation Mode is disabled.

-Signal Only Once Per Bar is set to Yes.

-Signal Only On Bar Close is set to No.

-Reset Condition on New Bar is set to No.

Did the Trade >> Trade Service Log indicate the reason a signal is ignored because there was a historical data download?

- The Trade Service Log had nothing relevant of note.

Again thx for the support. Adam

It is not within the scope of our support even for an additional cost to provide trading system or System/Alert debugging. For an understanding of this, refer to:
Automated Trading Management: Troubleshooting Automated Trading System Behavior

If the problem is you are getting an ignored Spreadsheet signal, then update Sierra Chart to the latest prerelease following the instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate

If you already have the prerelease, still update. The version number is the same.

To assist you with this kind of problem we have added enhanced logging to these Spreadsheet studies. Refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SystemsAlerts.php#IgnoredSignalsTroubleshooting

This will tell you exactly what the problem is.
