When I scan a symbol list(1, 2, 20, 30 futures doesn't matter) on daily data the platform immediately freezes. When I scan on intraday charts with same symbol list it works. The scanning on daily data worked in the past without any issues. It looks like the error was introduced with one of the last releases. Could you please check. Software version: 1441.

This must be caused by a particular study you have on the chart. What studies do you have on the chart?

Most likely this is caused by the Volume by Price study.

I thought the same and therefore removed all studies. The error still occurs. As soon as I click start scan it freezes. It doesn't matter which symbol is open.

By the way: It looks like the scan doesn't work anymore at all. If I click manually on a symbol on the quote board that actually gives a valid signal it's not detected via scan.

I tested with different intraday time periods 30min, 240min and 1440min. Same result. Scan doesn't give signals that are manually detected.

We do see a problem when scanning Historical charts and we are solving this.

We do not know what you mean by either of these:
If I click manually on a symbol on the quote board that actually gives a valid signal it's not detected via scan.
Scan doesn't give signals that are manually detected.

I have a quote board with my symbols and a chart that is linked with this quote board. If I click on a symbol the chart changes as well. If I click on a symbol that gives an alert it works and the alert is visible in alert manager. If I scan through same symbol list(symbol with valid alert is part of this list) the signal is not detected. Means not audio alert and no entry in alert manager. I hope I could clarify. Otherwise I will post some snag-it.

We realize now what the problem is with Intraday charts even before you posted this. Scanning is not functioning properly due to some recent changes.

We will have a new release out later today.

Yes we know. It is not good that this happened to begin with.

Unfortunately problems sometimes come up as we make changes and overall improve Sierra Chart and try to accommodate requests from those using ACSIL.

It makes what we do very very difficult.
